We had a great turnout for our annual Boulder Elks Derby Party on Saturday, May 6th.
The weather was cooperative and kids played in the pool and diving boards all afternoon.
Live music by Rogue 2 and many folks brought desserts to share in true Kentucky style.

One of the highlights of this annual event is the energy and anticipation amongst the crowd watching the Kentucky Derby horse race live on large screen TVs on the outdoor patio. You could almost feel the excitement that fans in Kentucky were experiencing. A real treat if you like horse racing.
Partygoers were invited to place a friendly wager on the race with "location specific odds" that were calculated in real time with only the bettors at the event (as opposed to the odds at that actual track/TV/online).
A shoutout to all the folks and families that attended to support this annual event ~~ a fundraiser for our local High School Scholarship program ~~ dressed up for the occasion.
A special thanks to Marc and Perrin Chipouras, Boulder Elks Members and the "Co-Founders" of this epic Kentucky Derby Party event. Thanks for your time, energy, financial contributions including the well-received Commemorative Cups. We're very grateful for your friendship and support.
And it could not be done without the tireless work of Rob, Jan and her crew of volunteers and staff that made this event flow smoothly.
