Home Safe fundraiser

The Boulder Elks have initiated the “Home Safe” Deputy Protection Drive, to benefit the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Boulder Elks Lodge 566 is asking the community to help us outfit 10 Boulder County deputies with rifle resistant protective equipment kits. The fundraising site is located here: https://www.gofundme.com/home-safe-566

This week, the Boulder Elks made a start toward this goal, and presented the BCSO with a check for $3,500 for the purchase of rifle-rated body armor. Our goal is to raise an additional $15,000 from the community. We have partnered with Shield 616 to maximize the impact of this campaign. Shield 616 is able to purchase this safety equipment at a significant discount meaning your donation goes further in support of this drive. Shield 616 is working with police forces across the United States to meet this need.

Please consider making a donation for this worthy cause.

Boulder Mountain Handmade Art Show

bouldermountainhandmade
Boulder Mountain Handmade, one of Boulder’s longest-running art events, takes place at Boulder Elks Lodge on Saturday and Sunday Nov 12 & 13. The show runs from 10 am to 4 pm, and features live entertainment and light food service in the Elks’ café.

Over 50 area artisans from around Boulder offer their wares in a marketplace setting. Residents of Boulder Mountain Fire district also conduct a bake sale and the sale of handmade crafts, 100% of which are donated.

The event is family-friendly, with free kids’ art activities and fire truck tours during the sale. Tinker Art Studio joins Boulder Mountain Handmade for the third year in hosting children’s art-making on Saturday of the sale. Boulder Mountain FPD volunteer firefighters are on hand throughout the weekend to show off fire apparatus to fire truck fans of all ages.

The event is presented by the volunteer men and women of the Boulder Mountain FPD Auxiliary, citizens supporting their volunteer firefighters through fundraising, public safety education, recognition and incident support. Auxiliary can be found on Facebook, @BMFPDAuxiliary.

For details on participating artists and the schedule of activities, please visit Boulder Mountain Handmade and check it out.

Elks Fundraiser to Benefit EFAA

Each year during the holiday season, the Boulder Elks Lodge undertakes a fundraising project to support those in need in our community. This year, the lodge is pleased to be supporting the Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA ), an extraordinary group that is dedicated to providing a community safety net for families who have nowhere else to turn when they can’t meet their basic needs.

Please visit the fundraising site here: https://www.gofundme.com/boulderelks2015

This campaign will run until 6pm MT on Thursday, December 17. 100% of the funds raised via this gofundme campaign will be given to EFAA, on Friday, December 18. Your donation, which will appear as “Boulder Elks Youth Services” is tax-deductible.

Through a grant from the Elks national organization, the Boulder Elks Lodge will match the first $1,000 in donations, making your contribution go even further.

We at the Boulder Elks thank you for your continued support of programs in our community, and wish you the very happiest of holidays!
